An interesting article that tries to summarize what Vancouver is. Obviously, a summary of a town is a next to impossible task. Gary Stephen Ross acknowledges this fact:
Amid the stereotypes, of course, obscured by them, Vancouverites live substantial, complicated, inaccessible lives. Newcomers say folks here are quick to engage you in a friendly chat but slow to invite you over for dinner.
However, he still goes on to try and summarize as many aspects of Vancouver as possible. Whether he is successful or not is beside the point. Nobody can capture the multitude of different experiences of Vancouver. In any case, an interesting read nonetheless.
