I was really happy to have participated in the past weekend’s WorldWide InstaMeet, or WWIM. This was my first Instameet and it was the 11th iteration of the WWIM. We went to the airport. There were 120 of us and we had a grand old time. I’ll let the photos below tell the story. Some great photos in there.
I’ve finally caught up on some of my photos from the summer. August was eventful because of a death in my wife’s family, some family were visiting, and I was just plain sloth-like when it came to blogging except for my TransLink posts. I still have another TransLink post to publish. So to make up, here are some of my Autumn iPhone photos to hold … Continue reading Fall Catch Up
I always hate flying east. It’s not the destination, but the direction that is a problem. In the past, when I fly east, my body hates it. It was no different this time. Haha…I am over a month behind on my post here. I’ve been sitting on tons of photos. The summer gives a lot of opportunity to take pictures, but it’s a pain to sort, organize, and post-process them. Plus, the recent heat wave didn’t help because I did not want to sit in front of my computer trying to work through a blog post. It wasn’t … Continue reading The very late Oakridge Station open house post
I’m surprised I didn’t come across this video earlier. The video is from May 2009 and is a time-lapse (albeit in reverse) of a run along the Canada Line from Waterfront Station all the way to the airport. The video actually stops short of YVR station, which is a shame. However, it gives you an idea of how the line will feel like if you … Continue reading Canada Line preview – time lapse video
Canada Line could open in August. Here’s some exciting news for transit users and transit buffs. If the Canada Line opens early in August, we can take advantage of the convenience and speed of the line earlier. As I have visited Richmond in the past month or so, I’ve seen quite a few trains running back and forth along the tracks overhead. The stations are … Continue reading Canada Line could open in August
